Cross Sections & Volumes
The CROSS SECTIONS program of HYPACK® displays multiple
cross sections and computes volumes using most of the
techniques employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Users can display multiple profile lines for each section
to display a historical perspective of bottom changes.
They can also compute volumes and generate both graphical
and textual reports. The program sends the information to
any Windows™ printer driver, allowing you to generate
full-color sections in any scale on ink jet printer, lasers
or plotters.

Plotting (Smooth/Fair) Sheets
HYPACK® allows users to generate plotting sheets
on all HP/GL compatible plotters. Users can plot:
- Projection grids
- Lat/Long grids
- Tracklines
- Soundings
- Matrix (Depth coverage) Files
- Planned Lines
- DXF / DGN background files
- Targets
- Title blocks

Export to CAD/GIS
More and more of our users want to display CAD/GIS information
in the background while collecting their survey data and to
export edited/sorted soundings to their CAD/GIS packages.
HYPACK® was designed with these functions. It allows
easy conversion to Microstation DGN and DXF-capable CAD packages.
HYPACK® can export projection grids, soundings, track lines,
planned lines, and targets.

Digitizing to S-57
S-57 is the International Hydrographic Organization's
Cartographic Database Exchange Format. HYPACK® now
allows users to digitize from paper charts directly to S-57.
Users have full functionality to attribute all point, line and
polygon objects. New routines also allow users to convert
existing data from Microstation DGN and CAD DXF files to S-57.

Surface Modeling
The TIN MODEL program of HYPACK® creates surface
models from HYPACK data or any ASCII XYZ data file.
Once the model is created, users can display several
views, including 2-D and 3-D TIN, 2-D and 3-D contour,
solid rendering (grey scale) and depth-colored rendering.
These views can be sent directly to your plotter/printer
for hard copy. The TIN MODEL program also computes the
following volumes:
- Tin vs. Level (Reservoir)
- Tin vs. Channel
- Tin vs. Tin (Beach Erosion)
- The TIN MODEL program is also used to generate DXF contours for export to CAD/GIS.
